The Leadville Recreation Department is excited to announce our first Zumba program! For those new to the name, Zumba is a dance fitness program that was created by Columbian dancer and choreographer Alberto Perez in the 1990’s.This fun program involves both dance and aerobic elements, incorporating hip hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo and cumbia. Before you know it, you’ll be getting fit and your energy levels will be soaring! It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating.
Along with the new program we are also thrilled to introduce our instructor Jaden Skinner! Jaden is brand new to Leadville, joining the community about two months ago. She is currently teaching preschool at The Center and loves being outdoors.

Zumba has been a passion for Jaden ever since she took her first class in college, leading her to become certified to teach Zumba two summers ago. This will be her first opportunity to lead classes and Jaden is thrilled to begin teaching! Please come and join her for a great time filled with dancing, laughter and an amazing workout. Hope to see you there!
