Attention Parents of Babies and Toddlers!
The SPELL (Supporting Parents in Early Literacy through Libraries) Project is coming to Lake County Public Library on August 28, 2013 at 6pm. They want to hear from parents of babies and toddlers to hear your opinions and experiences about things like reading with your children, where you get information, and convenient places for you to go for a program. It will be fun too! Bring your kids- there will be activities for them. A camera station will also be set up to take photos of you and your kids. Meet other parents and have snacks. To thank you for coming and sharing your experience, you’ll get a gift card to a grocery store, a bag of books and activities for your kids, and photos of you and your child! This event is sponsored by Lake County Public Library.
Friends of Lake County Public Library is excited to announce the visit of Isabel Suppe’, author of Starry Night on Wednesday, August 28 at 6:30 in the AMAX room at the library. She will present a slide show and talk about her experience of climbing in the Andes and the accident that led to her writing of the book. The program is free, but donations will be gladly accepted.
