Summer Reading Program Has Started!

Last week’s theme was Digging in the Dirt and both Lake County Road and Bridge and City of Leadville brought heavy equipment for the younger kids to see just how big those digging machines are!

New this year is the program for 6th Grade to older teens. Their program follows the Dig into Reading theme but differs slightly. The theme for the group last week was Hobbits, and they painted Hobbit Houses and had a Hobbit meal.

This week the theme for Preschoolers, Kindergartners and 2nd to 5th Graders is Ants Go Marching! Learn about ants and check out the cool new ant farm! The theme for 6th Grade + is Worm Farm, where they will learn about worms and make a worm farm!


Reminder: There will be no Thursday sessions for Preschoolers and 6th Grade and Older Teens on July 4th! For a complete Summer Reading Program schedule stop by the library or download here.

The Library will be closed July 4th and 5th, will reopen at 1pm July 6th, and will be closed Sunday July 7th. The Library will be open Monday July 8th at 10am.
