Program/Service Access:
The CIC center provides a variety of community trainings, translation services, and acts as a clearinghouse for community services and information. The Community Integration Collaborative developed a four-year plan designed to increase integration among all residents of Lake County. We aim to encompass all elements of our community, including the realms of education, business, law, health care, and the wide-ranging expertise of our community members. The initiative’s primary goals are to:- Increase participation among all community members in community activities.
– Increase opportunities for all people to interact- Increase knowledge of laws, business opportunities, second languages, and documentation requirements.- Encourage cultural sensitivity throughout the community.The CRC facilitates energetic and interactive workshops on Cultural Competency, Immigrant Laws and Norms and more for schools, businesses and community groups.



Family Leadership Training Institute

We are proud to offer Family Leadership Training Institute (FLTI), a “first of its kind family civics program” in which families spend 120 hours learning to become effective leaders in their communities.

The goals of the FLTI are to effect positive family leadership development by:Helping families become leaders in their communities through civic engagement
Expanding and facilitating the capacity of families to be change agents on a neighborhood, regional and state level;
Developing supportive communities of families within regions of the state;
Facilitating family involvement in state and local policy decision-making processes;
Increasing parent-child interaction through family involvement.

Women’s Empowerment Group

Acculturating mothers meet every Thursday to learn and share experiences they face as they try to improve their family lives.

Program/Service Access: Mothers learn new skills, such as embroidery and sewing, which increases their self-esteem in many areas of life. Within the Empowerment Group, women offer each other support and community speakers share expertise on domestic violence, health, education, and community integration issues.

Started in 2001, the Women’s Empowerment group continues to meet weekly throughout the year. Full Circle collaborates with a variety of Lake County agencies to decrease stress and domestic violence and to increase leadership skills both in the family and in the community.
