Partnering for School Wellness: What Parents Need to Know
Join Colorado PTA and Action for Healthy Kids for a parent leadership workshop on creating healthier schools. This half-day training teaches parents how to work collaboratively to improve school policy and practices related to healthy eating and physical activity. Parents learn how to turn a school wellness project into a community effort that has a lasting impact on kids and families, and they come away armed with project ideas and resources to get started. All interested PTA and non-PTA parents are invited to attend. Presented in English with interpretation into Spanish available upon request.
Help find Healthy School Champions! For every parent that you send to the workshop, we’ll enter your name into a drawing for a $250 Visa Gift Card. Tell your parents to give us your name when they sign in at the event.
Workshop cost: FREE – complimentary lunch is included.
