Lake County Public Library is hosting the LiveWell Leadville Photovoice Project exhibit in the Leadville Room at the library for the month of November.
During March 2013, twenty four Leadville residents and students explored their communities and took photographs relate to healthy eating and active living. These images, framed from the lenses of the photographers’ cameras reflect important issues that affect the well-being of Lake County residents.
In September, 2013, photographers, residents and organizations came together again to create a Community Strategic Plan to increase healthy eating and active living. Strategic areas for improvement in the next few years are:
- Complete Streets, Design & Maintenance
- Increased Physical Activity
- Local, Healthy Food Access & Awareness
- Healthy, Safe Environments
- Community and Economic Development
As you view the photos, picture instead a county where everyone can live, work, learn and play in safe, healthy and active communities. It can happen. You can help. Join LiveWell Leadville and Lake County Build A Generation as we create safe, healthy, active communities. 719-486-4114
